Mozilla Firefox Favourite Manga Hellsing, Elfen Lied, Trigun Maximum	The multiverse theory has far too many holes in it to be necessarily reliable but more importantly than that, the Multiverse Theory lies on the back of the Big Bang. In that after the Big Bang, inflation continued to expand infinitely ultimately building upon new universes. In the end, you still end up originating back to the theory of the Big Bang even on the Multiverse Theory.

If the Universe is expanding into infinite nothingness, what's to say there isn't another Universe somewhere else in that infinite nothingness that's expanding? In fact, it's almost certainly there.

Posts: 26 Group: Member Member #14,091 Joined: October 7, 2017 Gender Male Country United States	The Big Bang is actually a theory that takes us back a 1 second after the beginning of the universe, not the "absolute" beginning of the universe itself (or t=0). That is to say, the Big Bang is occurring inside of a framework of all the known Laws of Physics as well as space, time, and energy already in place. There are other models that attempt to explain what happened before this 1st second such as Inflationary Theory created and championed by Alan Guth and later refined by Andre Linde. Also, there are other ideas such as The Cylclic Universe model in which the universe has always existed and goes through cycles of collapsing and rebounding. Under this model, the Big Bang was not the beginning of time but a new era in a cycle of cosmic evolution and the universe would have always existed and will exist indefinitely into the future (ie. there was no beginning). Also, Physicists have created models that are capable of producing a Universe consistent with our own simply from the known Laws of Physics and empty space. These models are an attempt to reach back to t=0 (if time ever equaled zero?) and is explained very well in a book called "A Universe from Nothing: Why there is Something Rather than Nothing" (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11337189-a-universe-from-nothing). However, at the moment, this is more of Mathematical Philosophy than Physics because there is no way to test it experimentally.
